Steps to Install WordPress
- Log in to your cPanel (yourdomain.com/cpanel)
- Scroll down to the Software section and click Softaculous Apps Installer
- In Softaculous, click on WordPress (it is featured at the top)
- Click the Install button
- Fill in the installation details:
- Choose Protocol: https:// (if SSL is active)
- Choose Domain: Select your domain from the dropdown
- In Directory: Leave blank to install at root (yourdomain.co.za)
- Site Name: Your business name
- Site Description: Short tagline
- Admin Username: Choose a unique username (avoid "admin")
- Admin Password: Set a strong password
- Admin Email: Your email address
- Click Install at the bottom
After Installation
Softaculous will show you your WordPress login URL once complete. It will be:
- Website: yourdomain.co.za
- Admin Panel: yourdomain.co.za/wp-admin
First Steps in WordPress
- Install a theme under Appearance → Themes
- Install essential plugins (e.g. Yoast SEO, WooCommerce)
- Create your pages: Home, About, Services, Contact
